Ryan Yates originally trained as a barrister and was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2014 before being admitted as a solicitor in 2018. Ryan joined Starke Family Law in January 2019 after training and qualifying at a firm in East London.
Ryan practises predominantly from our Horsham office but also works across our sites in Guildford and Haywards Heath and is happy to meet with clients at all three of our offices.
Ryan assists clients across the whole spectrum of family law matters including divorce, separation, financial settlements & cohabitee disputes (both low and high value), disputes involving children, and issues of domestic violence. Additionally, Ryan represents clients in the drafting of pre-marital (pre-nuptial) and cohabitation agreements.
Ryan is an experienced advocate. He regularly represents his clients at court hearings including throughout proceedings from first up to contested final hearing.
Ryan is an accredited member of Resolution and aims to resolve family disputes in a non-confrontational and constructive manner.
Ryan lives locally and when not in the office can usually be found on his bike exploring the Sussex countryside or engaged in other athletic pursuits.
