Protective court orders
The break-up of a relationship often results in tensions running high, and from time to time one party can behave in an abusive or threatening way to their former partner. This can unfortunately cause fear and distress.
In such circumstances it may be necessary to apply to the court for a protective injunction and our team has considerable experience of assisting clients in these situations. We represent clients from the very outset, applying to court on an emergency basis, where necessary, and after obtaining an order we can ensure that this is effectively implemented and enforced.
We can assist with obtaining:
- Non-molestation orders – to prohibit certain behaviours and actions (e.g. any direct contact).
- Occupation orders – to regulate the occupation of the family home (including by way of exclusion of one party).
We can also offer advice and representation to respondents to injunction applications.
